FOR MY FURRY BUDDY

I lost my furry buddy who was in the family for  a really long time on 25th February 2017. I was filled with remorse.Memories of him flashed in my head every moment. It was a very difficult feeling. But I  realized that I needed to do something more for him than just mourn.
And so I decided to write a few lines about my favouite dog BRUCE and dedicate it to him for his faithfulness and love that he gave us.

Bruce.
Yeah! That's his name.
No, he was not named after the famous Bruce Lee. (I'm sorry if i offended any Bruce Lee fans).
He was a dachshund (breed).
When he came home for the first time he was tiny like a rat.
We could barely find him around the house.
He had hair that was beautiful with the perfect cuts.
when he wagged his tail it would look like a fan!
His face had that charm that sent positive vibes to people around him.
Kid's eyes would  light up when they saw him and adults would just want to pick him and pet him.
If they was someone he loved ,it was his family.
They were the love of his life.
He was inseparable and would cry like a baby if he was left home alone.
Food was the second love of his life.
He would make a ruckus when he knew there was food around.
His world was very small and revolved around the few people he loved the most.
And in that small world he was the happiest king who ever lived.

This king was very lucky he lived a very long fulfilling life.
But time came for him to leave.
The day Bruce left us seemed like just another day.
nobody ever knew that the youngest member of the family was about to leave us.
When we saw his lifeless body for the first time.
Tears rolled down everybody's eyes .
I wanted to believe that he was just sleeping.
The air was filled with grim grief.
His family, who he loved till his last day stood beside him when he breathed his last and prayed for him.

For 15 years he stayed with the family through thick and thin.
And for that we gave him a respectful goodbye.
I'm sure he's up there looking at us still watching over and protecting us like always.
Even though he is no more.
He left his love to stay with us in our hearts for the rest of time.

Death,is  an uncertainty feared by all.
We fear it might take away our loved ones.
We fear it might get to us too early.
But death is something that knows no age, gender or being.
Whether we lose the person we love the most or our four legged friend who waits patiently until we return home.
The feeling that death brings with it is the same.

Share the love you have.
Cherish every moment with your loved ones
Because when they leave memories of them is all that we are left with.
And goodbye is all that we can tell.

PS: SOMETHING FOR THE OTHERS

  1. I'm very much touched. If the article had another paragraph, I would have shed tear drops! I mean it. Well done!
